kring! kring!
I have new favorites. Holst's Jupiter and Brahms' Violin Sonata No.1 and Vitali's Chaconne and.. Haha. Well, sort of. I still love Liebestraume.
I had a thought while lying in bed seconds ago. I was thinking of telling my dad to soundproof my room in the new house we're planning to buy/build this year so that my violin-playing-slash-noise-making wouldn't pester my family anymore. That would be pretty expensive. So nevermind. But what I thought next was disturbing. We were leaving our home for, what? ten years, in less than a year. Next summer (I won't be able to spend this summer at home because of PI 100 and Statistics), I won't be enjoying the pool, the trees of my childhood, and the clear skies in what I fondly called bundok namin. The things that are happening are now absolutely telling me that change is inevitable. I suppose, then, that one will be saying "I miss that" endless times for his entire lifetime.
But! Before that, another Christmas first. The Christmas holidays begin in a few months and I'm already hearing carols everywhere. Christmas lights are up in stores. It's an enlivening feeling. My dad is right, there's always a nostalgic feeling associated with Christmas. But you can't seem to remember that particular Christmas in your past. It's like really having chestnuts on an open fire or more shockingly, a white christmas! But it's there, it's vague and everyone has it.
(Dinner bell)
Still, before that, a very huge and dark cloud is looming on the horizon. Comm TERM PAPER, finals in Histo, Bio, Math & Philo, Philo paper about Isang Panaginip na Fili, and still others that I can't think of right now. I can already see a zombie sitting in front of the screen all day, drinking coffee endlessly, getting writer's block, tries to study a little bit of each subject for the Finals, fails to do so, goes back to TRYING to finish the paper, gives up hope, and finally.. flunks. No, just kidding. I'll make sure the last parts won't happen.
The sweet smell of the approaching holidays keeps me firm. And aren't Christmas carols the sweetest tunes on Earth? This is indeed the most wonderful time of the year.
Another thought. I'm not proud of it, in fact, I need help about it. I'm sort of an atheist - no god. Bbbt. How, then, do I put Christmas in the picture?
